Hi guys as always its zavien! Have I told you about my kitten Tigger, well I don't think I did. Anyway, I found him at a farm last summer where my dad was building an addition room for someone. Tiggers so cute, actually I have pictures of him, I'll show you....

He's a tabby cat, also he is funny. I'll talk about him later. So today you guys will be learning about cats! Cats are very interesting...that's why me and my mom wanted to learn and tell you about them. Now let's get on to some fun facts!

Cats + Kittens!

Cats are quite smart. That's why people say they have 9 lives. Did you know that cats can drink sea water? Also some cats have THUMBS! That's cool! Now lets get on to some more interesting facts. Hey you know when your cuddling a cat or kitten or just petting them? Well when he or she starts biting you that means that they don't want to be petted anymore. Also make sure to play with your cat otherwise they will get bored and maybe even leave (rarely), they also will leave because they're unhappy at home or they don't like the food, or they're fighting with other cats.

Have you heard the saying "you scratch my back I'll scratch yours"? Well, its the same with cats but it would be "you lick me I lick you". Cats love to groom them selves. They do it because it calms them selves after a scary or a upsetting experience. However, my Tigger just loves himself so much he grooms himself all day long...just to look dashing! Cats love to play, for cats when they are catching mice or birds, I'm guessing that's when they are doing that.. it's like playing, and not for the food...they usually only bring you the "treat"!

Tigger/my cat

My cat Tigger is very special to me. Tigger is very helpful and joyful in different ways. Whenever I come home after a hard day Tigger will always be there to make me feel loved and he just makes me feel well, warm, you know what I mean?

When Tigger sleeps with me I pass out really fast because of Tigger's purring, it calms me right to sleep. Also, when I'm sleeping with Tigger once I'm sleeping I have sweet DREAMS! so that's nice! Quick fact: the purring sound comes from vibrating muscles in a cat's voice box. And there are 2 different types of purrs; there's a "nice" purr, and a demanding "feed me" purr.

Regardless, Tigger reminds me not to worry too much about anything in particular...as long as the sun is shining, I have a warm place to lay down, and there is food nearby and cuddles from loved ones, life is A-OK. Cats, in my mind, are reminders to just go with the flow.

My best fun fact is that cats sleep over 70% of their lives!! They always look so content. I wonder what their secret is! Never worried about a thing. Cats can also jump to such high heights and make it look so easy! What is the secret to that? So many secrets..cats have all the answers!! Also, cats lick themselves sometimes to get YOUR smell off of them!! Go figure.
One thing I notice about Tigger, is his tail is his thoughts....it can wag so hard it wags his whole body...especially around feeding time, or going outside for play time. I don't blame him. I would do the same.

My favorite part of playing with Tigger is when I make a little scratching noise, or roll his jingly ball real slow...his ears move in a hundred different ways to tune into it all. I love his patience. He waits to see if it's worth the pounce! So smart.
Cats are a lesson in life...they teach us to stay cool, relax, and enjoy the moment in the sun. What better way to enjoy life? The moment comes when we need to pounce, but in the meantime, let's enjoy the moment.
